Has anyone tried the 140 from Nosler? & if so what loads worked with this new bullet

My Ruger was shooting very bad 4 inch groups at 100 yards with a couple of 130 grain factory loads. BUT, with 140 grain Accubonds I am getting under one inch groups when I use 51.5 grains IMR 4831. I'm just getting started into reloading, but so far - so good! Jim

Rem 700 Mountain Rifle 22" barrel. 3.46" OAL. 56.5 gr Rel 19, WLRM Primers, 2,862 fps. 1.50" 5-shot 100 yd group. 4 of those clustered into 0.527" so one may have been my fault.

tried the 140 accubonds in 24" sako w/ mcmillan barrel, just loaded 2 batches, 5 w/ 58 gr. rx22 & 5 with 58 h4831sc. the h4831 shot one ragged hole @ 100 yds, but the group was 4" higher then the rx22 group. anyone have any ideas? these loads were ok in my rifle, do not loat this load without working up.

I just completed pressure testing 140 ABs in the 270s and found 56.5 gr IMR 7828 to be my max. load. I loaded 6 more rounds to sight my son's 270 in with and was pleased with the under one inch group. The best we've got out of this rifle. The other 270 showed better accracy, but it has always grouped well with every thing pushed through the tube so far. Should know about terminal performance on deer and (cross my fingers) bear by December. Will complete the loading of the fall supply for these two rifles this week.
