<Aussie Hunter> |
Hi Centrepunch, Thanks for the info. I have had good groups with the 55gr Nosler ballistic tip (Benchmark 29.5gr @ 3380fps), 0.35 MOA at 100 metres. I have also had some good results with the 70gr Speer TNT. Just today I had 200 of 65 gr BT Berger projectiles turn up. I look forward to trying these out next month. The Sako I have is 2001 model received this year. I thought the Varmint Stainless Lam. model was going to be 1 in 12 twist and actually is 1 in 14 or 15. I complained to Sako Finland and to Beretta Australia. I wanted the rifle for hunting as well as paper punching. 1 in 14/15 twist can't stabilise anything over 80gr or 75gr Barnes X. I wanted to use 90gr Speer. Either way the rifle shoots really well anyway. We'll see what happens. Thanks, Aussie Hunter Aussie Hunter | ||
