I was having trouble getting the 175 MK to shoot consistent .5 MOA groups in my rifle using H4831 SC. It would shoot in the .3's on day and the next maybe in the .8 MOA range. I was getting really frustrated with it. So I was looking at the Nosler manual and they had found N550 to be the most accurate powder with the 180 gr. bullet so what the hell, I tried it. I hit a load at 60.8 gr. using a Fed. 210M primer that will shoot very consistenly in the .3's at 2976 fps avg. with E.S. in the single digits consistently. I have put this load on paper at 600 yards in F class competition and it shoots very well. Just thought I would throw this out as an option to try. It sure worked for me. River Rat, what sort of rifle are you using. Custom I suppose. What's the barrel length and make? Thanks for the load information, etc. Brad | |||
