Sav 260:

I shoot a lot of 260. I would have to question shot placement ( which I assume is not the case) or Bullet not doing its job.

In my 260s, I use mid range powders, ( 4064, IMR 4895, RL 15, H 380, W 748). They prove to be the most accurate. For bullets I use the 100 grain or 125 grain Partition, If I am concerned about performance. The 120 grain Ballistic tip has done well, as has the 100 grain BT, except for the 10 pounds of blood shot meat with the 100 grainers. Even tho the deer was taken at 300 yds.

Hornady's 129s and anyones 140 SPs will also do an admirable job. Although I normally like Sierra bullets, I have not been impressed with terminal performance of either their 120 grain or 140 grain Pro Hunters in this caliber.

Nosler stuff always works.
