Advice please? I have a Tikka with a 22" barrel and 1 in 10 twist. Using Hdy 75gr HP, H4350 44gr, CCI primers in a Win case, sat out to just touch the lands it groups under 1/2" consistantly. So the rifle can shoot! The problem is with bullets in the 85 gr range. I have tried Hdy 87SP, Sierra 85HPBT and Sierra 85SP. Powders were RL19 and H4350. CCI primers. I kept getting 2 rounds through the same hole then a flyer though the groups were all about 1". I thought the powder may be slow for the short barrel thus causing gas disturbance to the base of the bullet as it exited the muzzle. Have tried Fed Magnum primers which gives better obturation but still not producing consistant groups. Any suggestions? | ||
