Hello gang

I just got my 22-250 from my gun smith.
A 700 BDL with a new #7 / 1 in 12 /27 inch long stainless.
Fire forming with 39.5 of W 760 have in the 1/2 to 3/4 range,53 gr bullets at 100.Only lost one case due to split neck.using Win brass that has been fire 3 times with the old 250 barrel.came out great, nice sharp shoulders.
The brass was full prep.light clean up with 0000 steel wool then checked for cracks and dings,
used Imperial wax for case lube.

Next will be Nos bt's for working up loads.will use H 380 and H 4895 .I am open to any loads you may have to save the barrel also speed up getting a good load.

Do you share ?.

Thanks .

I have a 22-250 with a fairly new Shilen bull barrel and it shoots very nice. I got with the 1-12 twist and have been considering having it reamed out to 22-250 AI. What do you think of yours and did you buy the barrel as an AI or have it reamed out?

A factory rig: Rem 700 VL, rechambered improved to solve out-of-round chamber problem.

40gr Vmax, moly coated over 41.5gr of IMR4895, ignited by GM210M primers. WW cases or RP cases, totally interchangeable. 4215fps when barrel was new, now degraded to 4160fps. (750rounds).

Shoots just over .900in at 300yards in light wind. Ballistics at this velocity make it tough to choose a heavier bullet. However, going to try the Barnes bluebies this season.
