I have been playing a bit w/ my heavy bbl. .260ai. My best varmint loads to date: 46gr RL15 under a Sierra 85gr = .375@3460fps 44.5gr vv150 under Sierra 85gr = .4@3480fps I am really loving this little round. Makes me think I need a M700 mtn. rifle in .260? LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

If it's windy or far the 95 gr VMax has a Ci of .365 so consider that bullet. The 85 Sierra is .225! Out of my 22" barreled standard 260 I use 43.5 grs of RL 15 and get about 3350 fps with excellent accuracy. Join the NRA

I've been wanting to try the Vmax, 100grBT @ 3300fps also look promising. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

43.0 grains of VARGET, Federal 210 Match primer, 100 grain NOSLER BT=3204fps from my daughters 24" BDL,700 DM... and delivers 5 shot groups under .4"!!! I can live with that!!! GHD PS: I've been thinking about a switch barrel for a SENDERO but don't think I need the "improved" version! Groundhog Devastation(GHD)

Don't know if it's relevant or not, but I have a .260 with a 6 groove Lilja barrel. It likes the load suggest by the A/R page but with the 6.5 100SVHP, F210M and Remington Brass with H4895. Very accurate and velocity is conservative at 3270fps. Rifle is shown here at top. The other one is the Cooper 57 in .17HMR. Great combination for varmints as well.

GHD, I have tried 43.5grVarget, same load as yours, I get groups right @ 1/2moa @ 3300fps. Just wish the 107grSMK would shoot that well. I've been told you need to slow them down to about 3000fps, but then I might as well shoot the 120-123gr? Nice rigs DMC! LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!
