Hi,

Cn anyone suggest loading data for Sierra gameking FMJ bullet in .30cal and 150gr weight using Vihtavouri 135 powder. I have 2kg of vv135 powder to use so... My rifle is Mauser M03 with standard 60cm barrel. It's a pity I don't know barrels twist rate, tried to find some info from internet, but came out with nothing. So if anyone can provide that data also it would be great Smiler

Qnn,

Noticed you haven't received many replies.

Alot of varibles involved but with your 600mm Mauser barrel Quick Load states with this bullet & powder - 44.0 grs. within safe pressure limits usisng a maximum cartridge loading length of 2.8" (71.12mm) for @ 2748 fps.

You're on your own from here.....

Have Fun.

Cheers,

Qnn, The VV 135 is an excellent powder for the .308 Winchester cartridge and the 150 grain weight.

I would start to work up in .3 grain increments from about 42 grains and find the best accuracy for my rifle.

The VV manual shows 39.5 grains of N135 as the starting load for a .308 and a 150 grain sierra SPBT @ 2505 fps and a max load of 45.7 @ 2857 fps.

I personally use 44.5 grains of N135 and a 150 grain Speer flatbase.
