This should be a good practice load and suitable for shooting small deer at short range.

Based on data from the Lyman manual mentioned in Finn Aagaaard's article on "Downloading for Deer" (American Hunter, Feb. 1985). Aagaard was trying to go to a lower-velocity load for his young son; I was going for mild recoil with high accuracy.
