My favourite powder for my Remington 760 carbine in 30-06 is IMR 4320. I use 180 grain bullets for both deer and moose. My deer load is 47.2 grains that produces 2470 fps, and my moose load is 48.5 grains, it graphs at about 2630 fps. My last dozen deer, last bear and last 3 moose taken with this gun were all shot with ballistic tips. Excellent results in all cases. Hunting is Exciting! Bolt Actions are BORING! Don't Mix the Two! | |||
