My .416 Rigby load, shot out of a Ruger rifle.

Norma brass. "Bench Rest" prep of brass.

Federal 'Gold Medal Match' magnum 215 primers.

H 4831SC powder. 102.5 grains. Gives 2525 fps.

North Fork 370 gr. bullet. Crimped with a Lee Factory Crimp Die. 1/2 turn. W/O the crimp, 105 grains of powder is needed for the same velocity.

This load shoots 1/2" groups at 100 yards. Performed perfectly on two Cape Buff.

HI,

Big SAM, how flat would they shoot out too?,as if they work great for buff and if they could shoot out to 300 yards they might make a great one load round for a hunt,Kev

Sam,
Where did you get a Lee crimp die for the Rigby?
When I first got my 416 a few years back they said they didn't make a crimp die for it...
