Thanks to Bobby Tomek and other for the load data. I'm using 120gr SP Sierra with 29.5-30.5 gr of H-335. The 30grs looks pretty good so far. It's from a 19" barrel.

Not bad at all, like the bbl, like to hear more about that rifle, my Model 7 will put 3 in a hole and 5 not much bigger. Ballistic tip, vmax are great 120's for top accuracy, 100 hp's, sierra and hornady will surprise you, using some 130's now with more 335 than you have there, and going to do more work with 140 and 150 gr's just because. 2015BR and 120's get 2870 in my gun. Not bad eh? It looks like a mini mauser action, if so I thought PPC head size was the largest you could go? Perhaps not.

Thanks for the tip. I have room in the mag box for longer bullets. I started with light loads. It started life as a 22-250 barreled action. Wind River did the barrel which is, I guess, a heavy sporter profile. I've had this idea for a while, was originally going to do a 7mm TNT. The last round out of the mag needs a bit of finesse but it does feed. Iron sights, a rib, safety, bolt handle and hog back stock are next. Rich

I think the 120's are great for the 7BR, but just experimenting, I had some 168's awhile back, they SAILED clean through a hardwood tree that had been cut/likely dry, but it was 12-15" or more thick IIRC, the ctg amazes me. Is that an interarms mini action? If so, never knew they came in 308 head size. Keep me posted on your progress. 335 doing 2670-2680 the other day, think other powders might do a tad more, 120s again, 200 faster with 2015, SUPER efficiency with the best of select powders. Used 4895 IMR, Varget and 748, slightly less velocities IIRC. This is one fun round, likely been the one that has seen the most use at the range, and it seems to have an infinite bbl life, mine my have 1500 or more rounds, but I think they can run 8-10k. Slow to heat up, easy recoil, mild blast, super accurate, really too bad others have not given it a try in a rifle. Many XP pistol owners love it, only gets better in a rifle. Really hard to find a load or bullet it does not shoot well. Oh, you picked the right round, NO case forming, and benefits above.

It's a Charles Daly same as Mark X. Anything I tried H335 in I also try 3031 in and usually get better results. What do you think???

Honestly, little/no experience with 3031, believe I 'might' have used it in my TC 30-30 long ago, but not sure, know it liked 748 and 4198 IIRC. BL-C gave good accuracy with 100's and I believe maybe 120's but never chrono'd so cannot say what they were doing. I'd honestly trust Bobby T. as he has a wealth of experience with this round. I am familiar with Charles Daly, as they were going to re-intro the mini as there for awhile I understand neither ammo nor guns/actions could ship from Yugo. If I had to use one powder and one bullet weight, I'd use 2015 and 120's, but to get optimal accuracy, weighing the powder helps as such a little case is affected more so as percentage wise any variation is greater in a BR case than say '08 or '06. Keep me posted. I hear good things about RL powders but little experience, and great things about VV but not sure what numbers in this round. 120vmax and ballistic tips shot very tight, hornady SP's very good, and HP's as good or better. The vmax and bts are clearly the winner when you get to 200 yds. They stay tight at 200 and that is where you see a difference vs 100 where all do well. That said the 100 Hornady did 1/2" for 3 at 200 in my 708 so they have potential, but the 120 will better them in wind, downrange energy, and do fine in the field. Since I have been clocking 2875 or so, I'd wonder what a 120 Barnes would do, likely very well on even game larger than deer. That bullet might make a 120/7BR a killer FAR beyond what one might ever imagine. I'd surmise elk, caribou, etc. but if I ever had a bear to face, not that I'd go looking for one, I'd just as well have a 160 gr or so, as it WILL go on and on penetrating at 7br speeds. I would guess a 7br/160 would nearly equal in penetration/wound channel/overall performance on game, a 6.5x54 with 156's. That round as you know has some large history.
