Sorry for the double post but didn't see this board right off. So, does anyone have a favorite load for the .30 Gibbs?

My rifle is a Ruger #1 rechamber with 26" barrel.

For 180 grain bullets:

62.0 gr IMR 4350 for 2,970 fps using Hornady Spire Points or Nosler B-Tip. 1" @ 100yds in my rifle.

For 200 gr bullet:

63.0-64.0 gr H4831 or RL 22 with Speer Spitzer, Nosler Partition or Kodiak bonded. 64.0 H4831 gave me 2,750 fps.

The 200 gr Speer spitzer is a very accurate bullet. The 200 partition penetrates FOREVER.
