I know what I'm about to say is tantamount to blasphemy with this crowd but here goes... I don't reload... yet. I've read good reviews on HSM extended range ammo by The Hunting Shack and they offer a 7 mag loading with the 168 grain Berger VLD. I'm asking on behalf of my Remington Sendero 7 mm.

Before Opromises got elected I had a 700 in 223 built. I ordered some HSM loaded w/ Calhoon bullets(just to plink w/ more than anything) from Cabelas. The price was good at that time also. It shoots very well. I've also read(from knowledgeable sources) that HSM 308 Win shoots as well as Black Hills and Fed Premium. If you are not going to reload, I would get the Fed Pre w/ Nos Pars for big game. Try the HSM on deer.
