My all round Canada load uses necked-up 338 WM Winchester brass with a Win LR magnum primer, 75.5gr of Rel 15 and a 350gr. Speer MagTip. My chrony was on the frits the other day, reseting to 0 as soon as it displayed full velocity but I did catch the >24-- fps which is more than enough for me.

Your all around Canada load and you're doubting it's ability on black bears over bait?

Fear of failure. Sometimes I listen to others too much and loose confidence in what I should know better about. Don't worry, your reply on the big bores helped steer me back on course, Thank you.

Good to hear. Remember, 90% of what you read here is either speculation or BS. Go by first hand experience. That Mag-Tip will work.

Switch to a lighter premium, like a 300-325 gr. Barnes X if you fear failure. So I hope at least. Keep the Speers for targets & practice.
