| Mark, Being that the 7Mag is a fairly big case, they seem to like 4350 and slower powders, IMR4831 is a favorite of mine, though it doesn't go through the powder measure very well, I notice that my Lyman manual has 4350 as the most potentially accurate load, an inch is pretty good for a 7Mag, though the 7Mag I sold to an Air Force buddy shot 1/2" from the first 3 shots with 62grs. IMR4831 and 154SP Hornadys, Jay [ 11-24-2003, 02:51: Message edited by: Jay Gorski ] |

| Back in the day when my Sako 7mm Rem. Mag would shoot light bullets, I found the combination of 69 grains of IMR 4831 and a Hornady 120-grain Spirepoint pretty hard to beat.
I still keep a target dated January 4, 1991 with five shots of the above load in about an inch to remind me of what that rifle used to be like before the throat was burned. |

| What's this guy planning to shoot with his 7mm Rem Mag that 1" groups won't suffice for? Gee whiz! Some folks are just hard to please. |
