Favorite load in a single shot rifle with the 44 Mag
Would like to hear what your favorite load is in a single shot rifle with the 44 Mag. Just biought a 44 mag Browning/Winchester 1885 low wall in 44 Mag. It has a 1 in 20" twist rate. Would lke to shoot some cast bullet plinking and have an accurate load for that. Would like to hear your suggestions.

My Marlin 1894 44 mag. Loves 19.5 grains of W296 under a 300 grain WFN GC. CCI Mag pistol primer. I get 1600 fps out of an 18" barrel, and very good accuracy. I load them by the hundreds. Great load!

Ditto. My 16" Trapper loves that load and accurate.
