Credit to our friend Mike who developed this load on a Remington M700 BDL 22-250 with a bull barrel: * 35.5g IMR 4895 * 52g Speer HP (or Berger 52g) * CCI or Federal LR Primer * Remington brass; not sure it matters Obvious this rifle-specific load may vary in your rifle, but it does appear to be a very good one. I have witnessed a 4-shot 3/8" group (at 100 yds). CAUTIONARY NOTE: depending on the source of reloading data you choose, this load is at the high end of the powder range, or even beyond Max load on some tables. I would NOT START with this load, but rather work your way up to it, checking for pressure sign as you go. NRA Endowment Life Member USAF Veteran | ||
