What? Nobody likes the 30-378? No postings?
I am trying to work up loads using 150gn bullets, RL22 powder, and fed 215 primers. With 100gns I get 3400fps, and 106gns I get 3600. Any higher I start getting case problems. I have tried 4 types of bullets with the same results. According to the Speer reloading book, I should switch powders. Any suggestions. Thanks

We have been loading 180s with a large dose of H 50 BMG and getting around 1450 fps and good accuracy also loaded some with H1000 and had good results. Never have tried 150s though.Good luck

reloader 1: i assume your velocity is a misprint.........1450 may be just a little slow for a 30-378.

Hornady`s manual doesnt even list 150 or 165`s for the 30-378.

I get almost 3700 with 97 grs RL22 and 150 Partitions in my RUM.You should be able to get more but there may not be a powder with the just right burn rate to do it.The Hornady manual shows the same speeds with 180 to 220 gr bullets with about a 12-15 gr difference in powder weight. The RUM case may be about the limit for the 30 caliber.
