I have a Savage 99 250 Savage 1 in 14 twist
with a Peep site. Have 100 gr Horn Sp PT,
100 Gr Speer, 100 Gr Nos. Pt, 85 Gr Barnes X,
Nosler 85 Gr Baalistic Tip, 100 Gr Rem PSP.
Powders I have tried WW 760 seemed to be the best load with 100 gr Speer. Worked with RL 15
& AA 2520 (have 8#). Any sugestions.

36-RL-15-87 Speer Hot Core seems to be a universally good load in the 1-14 barrels. It's worked on several whitetails for me. I don't get as good accuracy from the 100 Hot Core, 1.5" with it, but have a little more confidence in the bullet weight. I use Big Game with the 100, though 4320, 4895, Varget, and several others in that general burn rate are good.

39.0 gr IMR 4350, 100 gr Nosler Partition, WW 8&1/2 large rifle primers. 3/4" groups out of my 99. Unfortunately I sold it a long time ago.

Bear2,
Did you sell it in pieces? When I was young and foolish I went to 38/4320(old Lyman max)with a 100gr Nos.Brass didn't last more than 3 firings.I would think 35ish grains of either H4895 or RL15 would be about max and shoot well in my 250 Sav.
