This is a great bullet. I'm surprised no one else has reviewed it. I load it to around 1550 fps out of my 9 1/2" SRH and get great groups. Should be a great bullet for deer.

Load these up to 1700fps in a .480 Ruger. Took 2 does so far at ~60yds and both dropped at the shot. Very accurate and plenty of weight for deer sized game. Both my deer had complete pass through with good expansion. Give these a try over the 325gr for deer. You'll like them.

Shot a 400 pound feral boar with this bullet over a maximum charge of WW296 in the .480 Ruger. Muzzle velocity was recorded at 1600 f.p.s. from my 7.5" SR. Range was 5 yards on the dog-bayed hog. Trama in the chest cavity was massive, more like what a 30-06 with Nosler Partitions is capable of. The bullet hit the hog on the right shoulder, penetraterd through both lungs and lodged in the off-side shoulder, just under the cartlidge plate. The bullet's recovered diameter was .93 inch! Retained weight was 252 grains! The boar was dead in seconds! This is the best bullet for the .480 Ruger, for nearly ALL field usage. I'd recommend it above all other .475 caliber bullets. The CCI-Speer factory load is excellent, also. I get a solid 1500 f.p.s. from my 7.5" Super Redhawk. By comparison, most .44 Magnum factory loads are runnin' about the same speed with a 200 to 210 grain bullet. And, my by-the-book handload is hitting 180gr. 44 Magnum velocities... with a bullet nearly 100 grains heavier! Awesome!

Shoots under 1 inch at 25 yards in my 7.5" SR .480 Ruger when pushed to 1559fps by the Speer starting load of WW296!

This is an awesome bullet on whitetails. I load this in a Taurus Raging Bull 480. I've loaded with 2400, LIL Gun and H110. They all work very well. Shot one doe at 75 yards in the neck and spun her 180 degrees. Stone cold dead. Bullets stay together on impact and mushroom nicely.
