Guys, you have all been so helpful. Ray, good idea on the truck camper. Motorhomes are pretty popular here for trail riders and many do use pick up campers. However, I love a truck and miss my old Dodge.

I have been on one guided pack in hunt. I really enjoyed it and hope to do my own hunting that way some day.

I only have one horse right now, I am not sure how well he would do on a trip but he is pretty mellow in personality. I think with training he would be fine. I think his legs are long enough, he's 18 hands tall! He could probably pack or ride, he's half Belgian draft and half Thoroughbred. Big and strong.
