Like Will, I've been trying to take advantage of the last of the weather before winter really sets in. Northern mountains are already muddy and cold. So we have been trailering down to Southern Utah to ride.

Is it possible to be "above" timberline in KS? ........................................................................ If you take the time it takes, it takes less time. --Pat Parelli American by birth; Alaskan by choice.

I think it is a brush line in Kansas. I enjoy Color Country in the colder months. But most of that red rock country gets pretty warm in the summer months and I usually head for alpine area above tree during the heat of the summer.

Pretty country Painted Horse. It looks alot like the Pacific Crest Trail on the spine of the Cascades here in Oregon.
