Does anyone have any "training" advice on how to get a horse to not jig on the way back to trailers after a trail ride? I have a ton of patience but it makes for a long ride back. And I know practice and just doing it helps but will welcome any suggestions on things that may have worked well for any of you. Buck is a 25 year old QH Buckskin Gelding, very sound and in excellent shape. He had been ridden Western Pleasure and has done some Team Penning and some Gymkhana's prior to me owning him. Previous owners did not trail ride with him because of his ride back. He has great ground manners and is good at opening gates, etc. and many other fine qualities, except for the jigging. Any advice welcomed. Thanks. | ||
