Ive gone thru 4 horses this year, had to put two fine horses down, one didn't pass a vet check, and one got retired...ONe of the reasons is I like old horses because they are just better than young'uns and I figured they would outlive me, but wasn't the case..Im looking for a 6 to 8 year old heel horse now, to last me out, and figure my luck has to change...

One thing any animal lover has to understand and that is we outlive the animals, if you can't accept that then you better take up golf, or checkers..

When I get old I plan to get serious with my golf game. I like the game, but Im not there yet..

I know an older lady who takes on horses that are about to be put down. It costs her a lot of money and it always breaks her heart when one dies, but she keeps on doing it. That takes q special kind of courage IMO.

I have a neighbor like that and sometimes her kind heart is about as cruel as can be on old horses the need to quit suffering and the only humane option is to put them down..

Sometime the road to hell is paved with good intentions..
