Just curious if any of ya'll had a chance to see this film. I took my son and several customers to see it and it was a REALLY good film. If any of you don't know who Buck is, he's the real deal and well worth checking out (whole different personality and Way beyond blowhards and showoffs like Parelli). I will warn you if you haven't seen it, that it is a documentary about his life, and not a training film, although, it obviously includes a bunch of training and horses, because that is his life. It does, however, also include a fair bit about his abusive childhood, and I somewhat regretted bringing my son to see it for that reason. Anyway, great movie and available on Amazon if you have horse folks on you Christmas list.

I thought it was grate , The nut that had 18 stallions is crazy. Her horse was beautiful yellow , he could have been saved in his younger years. He is a man that has a nack with horses . I would not mind to take a lesson from him or 2.

It's on netflix too.

Great show. More about people than horses though.

Buck is a nice guy, he's a lot better at promoting Buck than he is with horses--

Doesn't seem to matter who it is, the abusive childhood bit seems to be part of their repertoire . The tear jerker angle of self promotion. Big Grin

Excellent movie. As usual we have detractors none of whom have ever been to his classes or probably even own well mannered (if any at all) horses.

Well mannered horses

I liked about 25% of it. The sob story didnt intrest me at all and was a waste of time. We all have sob story's they're called excuses. I think his methods were decent at best i would put him in the same catagory as a slightly above average local trainer however he's a long way from being considered a true horseman in my book. He still has too much predatory behavior and that his biggest downfall. And again the self-pity promotion made me lose alot of respect for him and put a bad taste in my mouth from the begining

Actually

I competed against and beat Buck for years-

hes a nice guy.Just not that good a trainer-

Like I said-better at PR than training.

More power to him, every one has to make a living--just don't blow smoke up my ass about what a trainer he is
