Ann,
I would not pull a stock trailer with a Motor home first of all...A pickup camper might work better hauling stock..4 wheel drive.

I would take one riding horse and one pack animal, per person, mule or horse, but he should be big and stout and be able to "step" not jump blow down timber..Horses are probably easier to handle unless you been fighting mules all your life.

hunt all day then stop and camp that night in a pop tent, then do that every day...That way you can cover a lot of country and make a big 100 or so mile circle before you run dry...then restock and hit the trail again....That is a fun hunt..When you kill something take it to your trail head..

I have always been more successfull than setting up a big camp somewhere and be subjected to hunting that area only..I like the mobility to move to better hunting areas if the need arises, but its a one or two person deal...

Mike, This is just stuff from the local tack store. It doesn''t say anything about Walkers on the label. They sew it up from a heavy cordura fabric.

I do like the top packs. I stuff two sleeping bags ( I don't even roll them up, just stuff straight into the pack), two pads and usually half of my cloths in it. Throw it on top and cinch down the four straps on each corner and away you go. I throw all the food, propane stove, dutch oven (heavy stuff) in the lower paniers and keep the weight down low.
