I agree in that I will pull the shoes in snow, but I try not to hunt in snow these days, had my share of that...I just don't believe in barefoot horses or mules for that matter...show me a good barefoot horse and I will make him better with a pair of shoes in rough country...I guess some folks ride in sandhills and not all ranchers have a lot of since apparantly...

Tom if your referring to me as a drug store cowboy, how about a match roping for some big bucks? calves or steers, whatever!
