I'm pretty much out of touch with trainers, but have a 4-year old gelding that's gentle but needs breaking and training from the ground up. Know of anyone in my area? Thanks. ------------------------------- Will Stewart / Once you've been amongst them, there is no such thing as too much gun. --------------------------------------- and, God Bless John Wayne. There are a lot of good trainers in Kansas, but I can't think of who they are and I threw away my last issue of NW Team roper... I know of some good team ropers by name and location so give them a call and they will steer you to the right folks. Go to information and give them a call.. Rob Holland, Bucyrus, KS Walt Batson, El Dorado, Ks Randy Binford, Haviland, KS If this doesn't work then I will find one for you.. I know a bunch of good trainers in Okla..I buy horses from some of these folks. Will, I have talked to El Caballero about horses enough to tell you he would be a good one to train your horse and the horse will get used for ranch work and rode hard..I have also seen some of his horses and they are nice so he knows his horses..I have also done business with him and he is fair and honest.. There should be a thousand people in the KC area that would be capable of making him into a good riding horse. There are also 5000 that aren't worth a damn. If you just want a riding horse and aren't worried about putting a great handle on him, this should be easy. Getting him trained right is another thing. I would find a young guy that is working for a cutting or reining trainer and let him break the horse on the side if I wanted a nice gentle riding horse with some handle.
