I seem to go thru horses like I do guns..I get myself a nice little green horse and start roping off him and about the time I get him finished some old dude walks up and says how much for the horse, usually in Arizona where I rope sometimes in the winter...Their thinking is if an old dude like myself can rope off this horse then its got to be a good one, and it is, so I sell it for big bucks and go find another, besides I make more money selling my horses than I make roping these days.

This one, I named Biscuit, cause he's white, not eve papered, but a good looking little pooch..off a ranch and broke to ride real well but ground manners were rough, been roped to catch I suspect..Well that was a week ago and today he will walk up to me in the pasture or come to the corral at feed time...rode him several miles the other day and started roping the macanicle dummy off him a few times and he is coming along great, and the little bugger can run a hole in the wind..He is about 14-3, and 1000 pounds perhaps, and strong to the horn, even heeled a few steers on him and he took to it like a duck to water, his future looks good and Im excited about him..He even likes me, that's more than I can say for my dog!!

Sounds like a very rewarding pastime!
