Will, I wouldn't use anything else. They actually solved my knee problems. I rope 3 times a week and I ride almost daily as you know..but I do not like the metal, it's too noisy and clanking around bothers me so I opted for the rawhide covered version, much nicer.. I do have a set of metal ones by "Crooked Stirrups" so if anyone is interested then make me an offer, I'll let them go at a right price, if I sell them I will order myself another pair of leather covered ones but at a considerably higher price.
