I'd like to learn more about gaited mules. Can anybody offer information or point me to where some are for sale?

I've got some dandy mules and rely on them heavily. Here are a couple of magazines that might help you out. Western Mule Magazine and Mules and More magazine.

Western Mule Magazine was a good lead. It gave me two contacts - Thanks.

Ray,

That is exactly why I'm thinking about switching from a horse to a mule. But, I'm sure they both fart! rotflmo

SBT,
Most mules have a wonderful gait and cover a lot of country..I would not limit myself to a breed (cross)...I would pay more attention to how well broke a mule was and I would want to ride him a bit before I bought him...It is very hard to find a really good mule, most of them have a big flaw someplace, but you may have to find it...that is a good reason to deal with a reputable person and someone you know that will tell you the truth...A good mule is an asset, but they are far and few between IMO, for a couple of reasons, but thats a different story.
