Not really funny. You'll know that, if you've ever been bitten by a horse Big Grin

I didn't think that the girl was THAT bad. I also know that horses, as prey animals, will choose flight over fight. This horse should have simply moved away if it didn't like the girl.

I'm not saying that I'd shoot the horse, but no kids would be allowed around him anymore. He and I would also have a long talk about respecting humans.

Pets are pets. I have no tolerance, absolutely zero tolerance, for mean or aggressive, much less dangerous animals.

If it were up to me, there would be several extinct breeds, such as pit bulls.

In my opinion that kid was too little to able to hurt that damn horse. Shoot it.

From what I saw, the girl pushed the horse on the shoulder twice. I could envision myself telling my son to move a horse away by doing something pretty similar. My horses would move away. Acts of aggression from a horse should never be tolerated. Biting is always an act of aggression, unless you have him tied down or otherwise immobilized and biting is his last option.

Obviously kids should be taught to be safe around big animals, but I expect my animals to be safe around kids as well. An older horse should take care of a two year old child, not the other way around. You could even say that the definition of a kid's horse is one that will tolerate lots of abuse and never fight or flee.

I don't agree, from just this clip, that this particular animal is so bad that it should be put down. If this is a pattern, and he's done similar to other people before, then he may need to go plow for a few years with the Amish and learn how good he had it. my .02

He and I would have had a come to God meeting on the spot, and death would have been on his mind when I quit. I have 11 of them and not one is ever going to kick or bite anyone for any reason. Those lessons are taken care of very early on. That horse is ill mannered and dangerous. Send him down the road with warning to whoever is willing to try him.

It goes without saying that pets showing dangerous tendencies are a liability, and in many cases, should be put down. I know not a thing about horses, and I'll defer to you folks that know them, but it is my impression that wasn't that girl's first time being mean to that horse.

Will, when you whack horses, do you don the sleeveless elephant killer shirt? I hope so! Wink

Sounds to me like "shoot the tormentor." Horses aren't stupid, and they're not to be teased.
