Just wondering how much one might pay for one of these horses? Thanks, Jay

Waaaay too much. If it's a PureBred (line bred) horse, it'll cost the equivalent of a few good English DR's. Lo do they call to me, They bid me take my place among them in the Halls of Valhalla, Where the brave may live forever.

And don't dressage horses run over $100,000, sometimes way over? It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance

I don't think that any would be put up for sale. They almost lost them all in World War II. George Patton saw to it that they would not fall into Soviet hands.

You can go to http://www.equine.com/horses/search.asp?ignore=1001 and check out the Lippizans. They are generally $5,500 to $20,000 depending on how old they are and if you want a stallion or mare. I think there was only one gelding for sale. ****************************** There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor polite, nor popular -- but one must ask, "Is it right?"
