On the verge of buying this heading horse. Since I won't be throwing many ropes, he'd be mostly an ex-header. Could I start a roping career at 69? Good, broke gelding. At 13, he's the perfect age. I wish the rider was as good looking! ------------------------------- Will Stewart / Once you've been amongst them, there is no such thing as too much gun. --------------------------------------- and, God Bless John Wayne. Will, You damn right you can start roping at 69..I roped calves in high school, college and some professionally, but I didn't start team roping until I was 70, that's 10 years ago come Jan...I am now totally addicted to the sport. I am a tie on heeler, you can tie on after 55 years of age on the heel side, you must always dally on the head end. If you wanted to heel, it doesn't take long to make a heeling horse out of a good head horse btw.. It will keep you from getting old my friend, remember age is what you make it, maybe we could make a few old timers ropings, who knows! I compete in the Wrangler ropings, its stiff competition, but its handicaped so it works out. I win my share of the money, but hey, you will never win enough to break even!
