Have two mules for sale here in north Texas.
Foueteen year old mare mule has and will do it all. Won events at the World Show with a 14 year old girl riding her. Won the Tri-state Fair in Amarillo twice and the Colorado State Fair.
I have led pack horses with elk on them with her. Sugar will do more than I can on her. Have pictures available to email. She is 16 hands crosses water. logs and anything else. I have owned her since she was five.
Also have a eight year old horse mule bought from an Amish man in Missouri, full of energy and gentle. bought him for a pack mule, but have not taken him to the high country. He is about 14.5 hands. Both mules haave been shod.
Am pushing 80 years and guess the elk hunting days are over.

I piddled around too long and the two mules sold. Shoulda drove down through the snow storm.

It's irrelevant to the discussion but it was great weather here yesterday. Great day to be out riding even greater mules. And pretending to be a cowboy!

They were a bit west of Wichita Falls.

I was gonna go see them and it snowed us in up here. Then the next thing I knew Don had sold them both to some darn woman!

The 16 hand molly was supposed to be broke broke.

Oh, well.

Good luck in your search.

Bill

But always on the look out for good ones to go into the string.

Would have like to have seen'em.

Dr. Easter,
I haven't looked at this post for several weeks until now. Sorry.
I live in Iowa Park and would have liked for you to see the mules. They are still here if you are up this way sometimes. They have already been paid for, but looking is free.
The woman who bought them is trying to get a place ready for them.
Normally there is a mule or two around to look at. My cell is 940-636-0907 anytime.

Dr. Easter'
I am in Iowa Park-ten miles west of Wichita Falls. The mules are still here even though they are paid for. She asked for time before picking them up.
If you are up this way, stop by. I am on U.S. 287 highway. I know of 2 or 3 more for sale.

Hi Don,
I am mule poor actually. I have 6 right now but 2 are getting really old. Always looking for good string replacements.

My family owns the salebarn in Wichita Falls and some of the family lives off of FM 369 off of 287 between Wichita and Iowa Park.

I don't need to look if I can't buy.

Don't have any for sale now and at my age probably won't in the future.
So just stop by and visit if you are in the area.
I am on 287 access road south bound from Bell road---not far from your family.

Don
