Hey guys, I am a coulple of years out from a a big bore build, but I pretty much know what I want. I am trying to decide what I want for the look of the rifle. I was hoping some of you wouldn't mind posting pics of yours. Thanks.

I took the easy route and bought a Weatherby MK V in .460 Weatherby Mag. Everyone knows what they look like.

the CZ is pretty close to the classic look if you get the American Model.

Save yourself some time and just go buy a CZ.

Or spend some more and buy a Mauser M 03. Then you can have the caliber of your choice.

R93 Blaser, 375 H&H but could be any number of other calibers with a 5 minute barrel change.

I could not speak higher about my Don Allen era Dakota 76 African in 416 Rigby but if not that Wayne and the guys at AHR will make you a treasure out of a CZ.

In fact I was on the phone with Wayne last week and we were discussing a way to add weight to the muzzle and when he said he could put a piccatinny rail rather than something permanent...simply as a suggestion for testing...I could hear the hoots and laughter behind him cuz they didn't realize what we were talking about.

I had to laugh when I got off the phone as I then had pictured this AR style elephant rifle with 3 pressure switches for lights, lazers and what not, in my mind. Yep, they probably thought some nut was decking a 458 out for who knows what. They are good guys.

The display of PURE POWER is nothing short of AWESOME !

I say build what you want and have fun with it. I bought a factory 2nd stocked weatherby mkV in 460 to build my dream big boar. Great thing about the 460 wby is I have load that pushes a 500 grn hornady dgx at 2450 fps should work great in the hot african sun.

Again very nice, I hope to put my 460 wby to use on a buff in 4 years.

I just have to quit buying guns and save the money to go!

We went to Africa for Cape buffalo and plains game and took everything we wanted. When we left, we thought:
OK, now we'll get this out of our system

While in the Airport in Bulawayo, my father turned to me and asked:
When are we coming back?

I started thinking about it then and we'll be back in Africa for PG and elephant in November.

There are no words ...
