You maybe right although I not sure what I did to tick him off but he is on my case.
The Can. dealer did respond on a Sightron Scope (in that same order) telling me he can't get the one I want, but never mentioned the wipe out.
I am glad for the 3 can's on your shelf but be carefull they may run out before long.

Martin,

I'm afraid that Santa Claus made his list, checked it twice, and noted that you have been naughty, not at all nice. Therefore, unfortunately, christmas is canceled for you. You will be getting coal in your stocking this year, but no cans of wipe out. See, the system is working just fine.

I really can't feel your pain either; I have three cans on the shelf.

When the F-16 first came out it had more than its share of teething problems. The original engines were made by Pratt & Whitney, and were semi-shitty. Also it is a fly-by-wire and fly-by-computer airplane. The pilot inputs were just one vote as far as what the plane was actually going to do. The final arbiter was the Flight Control Computer. We called it "Hal".
Anyways, there were so many F-16 crashes in the 1980-1985 timeframe that we who were flying other airplanes at the time took to calling the F-16 "the lawn dart". People who actually flew the plane at that time called it the "Viper".
When I transitioned to the F-16 in the late 1980's my call sign was changed from "Mengele" to "lawndart". Your buddies hang your call sign on you. There is no appeal. We had a guy who didn't like the call sign we gave him so we changed it to "Fag".
I actually loved "lawn dart" as call sign. Other pilots would look at it and the blood would drain from their face. When I would talk to the air traffic controllers and say "This is lawn dart 41 requesting ___________", they would bust up on the radio.

Among other places, you can order it from Mims Reed (posts here as Harry) at Hunters' Headquarters from his website here.
