Idaho SharpshooterRational or...?
I got a spanish 10 gauge SxS. Would you think it worth a couple hundred dollars to cut the barrels to 24" and make a paradox double rifle out of it? There is a company back east that specializes in cutting long forcing cones and doing choke tubes. I sent them the measurements at 24" and they say they can cut the barrels, and put a pair of rifled 2" choke tubes in for under $200. I understand accuracy might only be in the 3" range at 50 yards, but it would be a tremendous amount of fun with 3" long brass cases and a slug.

10-guage Zabala Honchos, 32" SXS that weighs 11.5 lbs?
I cut one down to 24" and it took one pound off of it. At 10.5 pounds it was well balanced.
I put rifle sights on the rib and used to dove hunt with it whenever I could find any shells loaded with no. 6 or smaller shot.
Mine was smoothbore and straight cylinder but it shot the Federal 3-1/2" Foster slugs into about 6" 4-shot group at ... 25 yards.
You should do better.
Should be fun.
Show us how to do it right!

I recommend you:
Spend your money on a Chapuis 9,3x74R Scoped double.
You will thank me for it in the long run.
