cordell, HockeyPuck of http://www.aement.com has an old original Barnes Supreme brochure. You can go to that website and click on the link for "Wildcats." Good history there. The photo at the bottom of the article on the .450 Barnes Supreme is of one of my dummies made with original "Barnes Ammo" brass. Check it out: Http://www.aement.com/articles/450%20Barnes%20Supreme%20Narrative.htm Fred Barnes was also doing a .416 Barnes Supreme back around 1949, much like the .416 Hoffman and .416 Remington. I have a .416 BS and a .450 BS built on Whitworth Mark X Mauser knock-offs. They were the 2nd and 3rd rifles I had built around 1987 right after a .375 Weatherby Mark X. These are what I cut my teeth on hunting in Alaska as a resident, way back when. They are good cartridges, and certainly less of a "Freak Show" than the .404 Jeffery, given the limited variety of .423 caliber bullets.

Hi RIP, Thanks for the response and guidance. I believe the catalog that AccuLoad has is a copy I sent over to them late last year. I did enjoy the article, I had not seen the write up on the .450BS thanks. By the way, what made you decide on building rifles based on the Barnes bullets? Take care and God bless. cordell
