| What velocity (of course regarding accuracy and pressure signs) should i shoot for? I was thinking 2400fps sounds good. |

| I use the 350 in my 375 H&H and my expansion test would indicate 2400 max for the RN version and perhaps 2600 for the simi point as its am good bit tougher bullet...but I would still choke down to 2500 to play it safe...
I worked with Geoff McDonald on the developement of these heavey bullets, to a much lesser extent than he of course, just making suggestions along the line, and answering his inquiries...I received quite a few for testing and so far I am very impressed, and they just look Africa all the way..
I will be shooting the 450 gr. RN for Buff this year in my 416 Rem..at 2350 FPS...along with the new 400 gr. Nosler and Bridger FN solids. We will see how all that washes out. They all shoot to the same POI in my gun. I also will be shooting Woodleighs 400 gr. 450-400 softs and solids as usual, they never fail and or boringly predictable in the 450-400 at 2100, just a nice big mushroom for the softs and a richochet on the other side with after full penitration with a solid... |

| Unless I miss my guess, the 350 gr .375 bullets walks you right into R25 country. Try it to keep pressures down and velocity up. You will most likely end up having to slow them down to 2500 and have a nice, moderate pressure load.
RAY - Ever use the 500 gr Hawks in the 416 Rem? R19 does 2230 fps all day long and SD is .413. These blew up my sand trap in my lab... |

| I used the Hawks in several persuasions and had problems with them coming unglued at the seems in the 338, 375 and 7x57, even with the heavier jackets..I posted some of those bullets some time back...
I think they work better in the old sharps, Winchesters better than they do in modern guns....After all they are simply an old time conventional bullet with no bonding...Bonding is the greatest inovention in bullet making to come along in centuries IMO...I have wondered why they don't incorporate that and have a better bullet... |
