What caliber rifle did you useto take this many Buff? Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers to do incredibly stupid things- AH (1941)- Harry Reid (aka Smeagle) 2012 Nothing Up my sleeves but never without a plan and never ever without a surprise!

12G, and I cant say for sure how many, but it be well into a hundred or so of buffs taken. But sadly your after Cape Buff not Aussie Water buff so that leave's you with only 5 ppl in you study group. Mind you I see no difference between the two types of buff, but thats just me. PS: We were at the time trying to eradicate them, so any buff spotted was shot. While we didnt manage to eradicate them entirely, we did put a serious dent in the feral buff population at the time.

Started out on my first cull with a .375, graduated to a 9,3x62 after that. Have never killed a buff with anything bigger, but have killed a couple with (multiple) hits from 7.62 Nato. (did they need mutiple hits? one did and who knows about the others, when you have 20 in the mag, are not paying for the ammo and don't particularly intend to eat the animal - why be picky?)

Used 456 Nitro, 470 Nitro, 375 H&H and 458 Lott. Most were taken with the 375 H&H, I found it to be plenty of gun for buff. 465H&H
