Does anyone live near Buffalo Arms in Ponderay, ID?

I have been searching through their website and they are selling Jamison .577 NE 3" brass for $3.00/case.

I was going to buy 50 cases, but when it calculated UPS ground shipping to my zip code (19030), they said they were going to charge $41.14!!!!!

THAT IS CRAZY!!!

I just got eight boxes of 570 grain Woodleigh bullets for my .500 NE from MidwayUSA.com and the shipping only cost me $12.36 - for eight boxes of 570 grain bullets - 25 in each box! 17.4 lbs!

Something ain't right there!

Does anyone live close to Buffalo Arms? If so, I would love to talk to you about helping me out.

Thanks,

Surely someone there is giving you incorrect information. They are easy to work with and will do anything you ask. They are the only company that will ship bullet alloy to me using the USPS flat rate priority airmail boxes. Bringing the cost down to $8 to ship 70 pounds to Alaska.
Have you tried calling them on the telephone?

And Midway will not ship me alloy or bullets using the flat rate boxes, which causes them to lose all my business, go fiqure. LOL

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Call and ask for Skip, Brian, or Cody. That figure surely must be a mistake! I just ordered 100 375 cases from them and shipping was $10 or less to 88260.

Good hunting,

Thanks, guys. I just called them. although I didn't talk about the shipping, I did learn that the .577 Jamison brass I was looking to get is not in stock and no date for when it will arrive.

When they do get the .577 back in stock, I'll ask about the shipping rates. I too thought it was a mistake.

Snowwolfe, you're my hero! thumb I never thought of the flat rate box. Last year I paid $70 shipping for 60lb of a specific alloy because I couldn't find a cheaper alternative.

BTW, I just learned a few months ago the UPs now ships "ground" to AK. It still goes by air, (since it gets here in 3 days), but ground rates, hazmate rules, etc apply! Its definitely made my life easier on some off the wall ammo.

Thanks,

It must be a mistake. I have never had a complaint with shipping charges and find them very friendly and nice to work with.

I have dealt with Cody at Buffalo Arms a lot and he is very helpful. I order a lot of stuff for my Shiloh Sharps 45-70 black powder cartridges. I never paid that much shipping charge with all the lead bullets I have ordered.

My Ammomaster from Buffalo Arms was only ~$16 bucks UPS to my ZIP. And we all know it weighs a bunch more than 50 .577 cases!
