analog_peninsulaNew for 2008 -- Barnes TSX .510 647 gr ...
It's just a single line entry, but here's the listing:
http://www.barnesbullets.com/products/coming-in-2008/new-triple-shock/I really hesitate to open the rate-of-twist can of worms, but I wonder whether this will stabilize and expand at 2100 fps in a 1:10 barrel.
I guess time tells all.

Charles_Helm647 grains! Did I read that right? I wonder how long they are.
I bet they would work wonders on buffalo.

syd-jaiI bet that is a 50 BMG bullet with a long ogive.

analog_peninsulaIt's certainly the .50 BMG standard weight, so one would assume that it's primarily designed for use in the .50 BMG. Nevertheless, I was curious as to whether the bullet might be useful in some of the other .510 caliber cartridges.
I'm sure we'll find out in due time.

RIPIt will certainly work in the 500A2 single-shot-loaded, or 500 Jeffery if throated properly, etc.
If it is a hollowpoint TSX, it has got to be a hunting bullet primarily intended for 50BMG stunt shooters. Might be a decent target bullet too, but no earthshaker for 1000-yard competition.
Nice to have another 500 Mbogo projectile.

jeffeossoLOL
as if the TSX lines isn't too long alreayd!!
I want a 450 gr .475 semi spitz4er (schuler nose) and a 500 gr .510 of the same style
that would take AT LEAST .10 off the length

NFMikeBetter than that Jeffe, ~.3" shorter.
