I bought a zeiss illuminated scope 1.2-5x. Originally i was going to put it on ruger 375. I put it on a colt le6940 (ar) 5.56. Shooting it at the range - the illumination shut off 3 times - this gun has minimal recoil. Anyone had this issue - looks like the scope will be heading back. Also the gun shot very poorly - need serious effort just to get it on paper let alone grouping. This was originally a $1300 scope. Had a nikon $275 scope on the ruger 375 - excellent performance. Hi Beretta, If your scope is a Zeiss Duralyt then I have the same one and have had no problems with it. Probably put 500 rounds through it (.416 Rigby) and been on a couple of trips to Africa. It's been in the 4wd's, carried by the scope (I know...), bumped around etc and I've never had an issue. Never needed to adjust zero either. (Warn QR mounts). Send it back. Must be a problem. It is a duralyt. I am going to take it to an indoor range and try and see if the gun and the scope shoot okay at 25 yards. I have a non illuminated one at home i may swap out for this one and send it back. Mike

Call Zeiss; they may have an idea as to what is wrong and whether it is something you can address yourself (bad battery, etc.). Goerge
