Just picked it up from the dealer today & am very pleased. GrabaGun had it for a very short window for $334+ $5.99 shipping. A mistake I think but I brought it to their attention & they honored it but I tried to add 2 more but that didn't fly. I already have a Ruger African In 375R so this is a good addition but a different gun entirely.
20" brushed SS barrel, Synthetic stock, a working gun your not afraid to use. The accuTrigger breaks at just under 2#, The bolt is very smooth. I have a SWFA 3X9X42 Tactical scope but I forgot I need mounts so I couldn't mount it today. Savage has really brought their quality up IMHO.

I just recently bought one and like it. It carries well in the woods. As of now I plan on leaving the irons on mine. I did have to tune and polish the mag a bit and remove some burrs that would scratch the brass a bit, I also polished the feed ramp while I was at it too. In mine the mag was a bit too tight and would actually pop the rear of the bullet up when it released. I feel like I should note that I did this with flat nosed solids. Out of the box it probably would have fed any normal RN or spire point without a hitch. It feeds pretty darn slick now.

I'll try cycling some ammo thru it as soon as I remember where I put it. I have 5 or 6 boxes somewhere. I do like the 375R round, they did a nice job making it perform this well in a non magnum action. I bought the scope used but never mounted so I should have $700 in the whole rig. Wish I could have bought 10 for that price.

I'm saying... you stole it at that price.

I have one of these and its a nice rifle. The only down side is that it is pretty light and it gives you quite a little "push" when you touch it off. Definately more felt recoil than either of my 375 Ruger alaskan or african models.
P.S. You did steal that one! I thought 400 for mine in very clean/used was a great deal. The first owner did not like getting beaten up by the rifle and he was not thrilled with getting beaten on the resale price either, oh well, live and learn. I really like the oversize bolt knob on mine for fast handling at competitive shoots.

Picked up a scope mount so should be shooting this weekend. The length of pull is at least an inch + short so I'm going to order a Pachmayr 4413 slip on pad so I can remove it depending on how many clothes or if I'm shooting prone which I doubt.
