HEYM / Swarovski SCI package

For a limited time, we are offering the new HEYM-Martini "Express" rifle with a new Swarovski Z6i 1-6EE (gen2 Illuminated Circle Dot reticle) for $10,750.

This is a $12,500 package for $10,750.

This offer is good through the last day of the SCI show (Saturday, Feb 8th). This price will not be available after that.

Your choice of calibers (375H&H, 416 Rigby, 404 Jeffery & 458 Lott.)

Production on this rifle came a bit slower than we had planned, and this is our way of getting the word out on the new rifle. We can buy more advertising
or pass some of those advertising dollars along to our customers... I figured you would appreciate the latter.

Stop by one of our two booths in Las Vegas #1920 (downstairs) or #4367 (upstairs) to see the rifle and scope combination.

I bought one of these rifles when they were first offered by Chris, maybe the first order. I shopped the entire DSC show looking for a high quality .416 Rigby, & settled on this Heym model after comparing all the higher end bolt guns offered at the show. I probably own 100+ bolt rifles, & I can say without a doubt that this rifle is the best of all my bolt rifles. I will go so far as to give an opinion - & yes, this is my opinion - but I don't think you can buy a better rifle from any English firm. They may offer some fancy engraving, but they won't build a better rifle or better balanced rifle than this Heym. AND, this is a heck of a price for this package. Just my .02 cents worth, & it didn't cost you a penny.

The Heym will probably go with me when I go after the trophy bull elephant that I bought at DSC this year. I'm sure it will if I don't use the .577.

dogcat, no the scope is not mounted as different people have different requirements as to eye relief.

The Rings are Talley. They attach directly to the reciever. No seperate bases necessary.

To add to Tony's comment, the rings are purchased from Talley in the white. We then ship them to Germany and polish and blue them to match the finish on the rifles.

Stocks are made to measure, but we have about 6 rifles in stock that are ready to go. These will be on display at SCI.

You can also order with or without the ebony forend tip.

I am guessing the combo should be a success at the SCI convention next week and will plan on stopping by to see how the orders are coming in.

The S&B scopes are good for what they are..tactical scopes for tactical rifles....but what a pity to put a S&B scope on a classic beautiful rifle.
S&B belongs on Blaser, Tikkas and other industrial designed combat guns!.

The S&B Zeniths are fine looking scopes that belong on hunting rifles. That said I sold my Schmidts (PMII excepted) and kept the Z6, though the reticle on it is basically too small to see and I am not yet sure what I am going to do with it.

You are mistaken.

Here is a photo of a S&B on a 375H&H:

No finer scope made, and none of the protruberences on the eye piece that the Swarovski "enjoys."

BTW, that is pre dawn "light" in the photo, the shot was taken 10mins prior, when there was even less light. Zenith 1.1x4x24 with #4FD three post and flash dot reticule, the shot taken with the flash dot set on the lowest setting via the third turret. No faster reticule in the daylight, and perfect for low light as well, with the optics to actually use it in low light.

S&B now offers a 1x8x24 with the same reticule, here is a link: http://www.schmidtundbender.de.../11-4x24-zenith.html

Hard to go wrong with an S&B or a Swaro-

(I own a few of both brands)

The Extended Eye Relief Z6i 1-6 Swaro with the Illuminated Circle Dot happens to be one of my particular favorites as an all around African scope.

At this price, you can sell the Swaro and purchase another brand. It's a very good deal.

Ralf Martini will be in the booth for SCI to answer any questions about the HEYM-Martini "Express" rifle.

Be sure to stop by and see Ralf.

This is a good deal - I bought one of these rifles last year, equipped it with a Z6, and took it hunting:

The rifle shoots great too - took PG out to 300+ yards, two geese at 225, head shots on the geese! This one is a 375, the 416 should be good for longer ranges too.

Great looking rig! Nice photos too.

Fwiw, I retread my own post re S&B scopes and it can be read to be negative about the SWarovski, and that wasn't my intent. It was meant to point out that S&B makes great, classic hunting scopes.

I like S&B's three turret design, and the clean eye piece but they are both great scopes.

JPK - I didn't read your post as negative on Swaro... don't give it another thought.

To your point on the S&B 1-8, we have been waiting for more than a couple of years now on production.

I would love to see a small package 1-8 like this. These are great scopes for the average African hunter, but I don't know how serious they are about actually producing them.

I have a Heym-Martini in 404 Jeff and one in 375 H&H. Both are very accurate, function and point well. I used the 404 in Tanzania last year and it was perfect for plains game, leopard and buff.
I stopped by the S&B booth at DSC and they had the 1-8 there to look through but had no idea when they would be available for purchase. Until that day the 1-6 Z6I is the way to go.

I agree 100%. I own several of both makes. But no illuminated reticle Swaros.

I can't understand why Swarovski cluttered up the eyepieces on their illuminated reticle scopes.

Bad design move, IMHO.

My Info is that you can order 450 Rigby or 460Wby too but it takes time and a litle bit more money...
