PC, Making your own is a problem because Corbing dies for over 50 need the electric powered hydraulic press. This is a place called Wildcat bullets in Canada who is doing up to 510 and might go bigger. Being in Canada there is no export licence bullshit. He uses Butch Harefield jackets down to .030" thickness so they would be good roo bombers. He also makes a lot of math grade bullets that are very heavy like 150 grains in 25 etc. http://www.wildcatbullets.homestead.com/ Mike

PC, The other thing is cast bullets. Cast Bullet Engineering is in Sydney and make world class moulds and will make whatever you want for want for about $180AUS. I think you can get gear to make gas checks from aluminium tin. I played with cast bulleys several years ago and you can get good velocity if pressure is low. In other words is all else is equal the 460 will be faster (with accuracy) than the 458 Lott which which will be faster than the 458. I think a 550 could probably do 2000 with 600 or 700 grainers as that would be fairly low pressure loadings since it can get up around 220 to 2300 or so with full power loads. Mike
