Big Bore Shooters!

After the fun we all had at the October African Big Bore Shoot, we’re running it again! This time, Sunday 30-January, 9AM should be done 1 or 2 PM. Arrive early for set up, bring ear & eye protection & water!

Fee $20, (discount for PRGC members), Limit 20 shooters, There will be a fun, safari-themed prize to the winner.

Almost the same course of fire as last time, we will have a charging Cape Buffalo and a some full sized elephants as well as a timed course of fire with 5 firing points at reduced size Big-5 game targets and stationary shoots at bullseye and animal targets. Expect 15 to 20 shots for record, plus an opportunity to use up the other rounds in your box as practice or extra shots. Hit/Miss/Wound scoring. Any African style big bore rifle may be used, you define what you think an African Big Bore or "Dangerous Game" caliber is. If you miss, wound or use an underpowered gun, your safari client gets killed and eaten!

How go the signups? Have you reached the 20-person max yet?

I would love to participate but I'll just be getting back from the SCI show in Reno.

Fun time but people need to tighten up there weapon handling a bit IMO. I do not like being muzzled by big bores for starters.

I recommend it to get out and shoot some practical scenarios with the blaster.

Thanks to Bill for putting it on. Liked the elephant sounds with the bobbing bulls!
