Did you expect anything coherent from the masses? the fact that we call it the "assault weapons" ban concedes defeat as we know they are NOT really assault weapons. The day the ban expired, I heard literally hundreds of people on talk shows calling in shrill panic that now "terrorists" could walk into a gun shop and buy AK-47s ( full auto of course). My children in school heard it from their teachers as well as the news media. Even the "fair and balanced" Fox news was comparing it to the streets of Iraq. The fact that close to 50% of the nation votes for democrats ought to tell you something about the level of stupidity of the public here in the states so one can only imagine what the rest of the world is like. jorge

Unfortunately knowledge is counter productive and barely assimilated by 95% of the sadly stupid population.

Whether it is guns or flick knives or pit bull terriers or bringing a cheetah cape back from Africa an anti can effect aims far more easily if they steer entirely away from any facts and stick to good old brainwshing emotion.



A few truths.



Emotion outsells intellect 10 to 1.



All 'antis' of the above groups and other groups are actually the same group.



Despite their touchy feely hippy image they are about one thing-government intervention-which is what the hippy's ultimately brought onto us incidentally.



Pro-gun owners are usually 'anti' in 95% of other areas.



Ergo- gun bans, one small area, will make no sense to us thinking, self reliant, responsible, intelligent factseeking gun owning suckers.

the frightening thing is that 90%+ of the gungrabbers couldn't have 38 guns on a table and pick out the 19 banned ones...

in fact, i doubt that 5% that could pick out a min14 from an ar, or an ak from an sks.
